Last year’s rookies Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn, along with second year player Duncan Robinson, stepped up and they delivered. That was a huge blow to their backcourt, but he’s back and the Dragon is always ready. The 35 year old Goran Dragic was the Heat’s leading scorer throughout much of their playoff run, but also had an unfortunate injury in game one of the finals. The Heat have one of the strongest rosters from 1-7. However, the 2020-21 season doesn’t just rely on Butler and Adebayo. Paired with the healthy, multi-talented Bam Adebayo who is looking to notch up his play again this season, the Miami Heat should be considered one of the favorites to come out of the East even if they’re being overlooked again. Jimmy Butler went from star to near-superstar last season and is fully capable of leading the team and taking the big shots.
